MHS Class of 2024 the Application Process is Open until April 26
Scholarships from Menahga Dollars for Scholars are available only to seniors earning a Menahga High School Diploma.
All Menahga Dollars for Scholars applications will be administered ON-LINE! This will allow you to complete your student profile/application on-line and apply for local, and some national scholarships, in one easy on-line application. (For complete directions, download the Step-by-Step Guide)
Basic steps to the Application Process:
1. Create a login.
2. Create your profile. You will complete information in each of the groups listed below.
*Basic and additional information
*School Information
*Academic Information (GPA, Class Rank (after Jan. 25th) and Test Scores
*Supporting Material - Goal and Aspirations/Unusual Circumstances
Goals and Aspirations Essay: Write an essay detailing your plans as they relate to your educational and career objectives and future goals. We strongly suggest you type your 500-1000 word essay in Word and paste it into your profile. We are looking for an introduction, supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion. DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR NAME.
Unusual Circumstances Essay: This essay is not required, however if it pertains to you, please write an essay following the same expectations as the Goals and Aspirations essay that describes how and when any unusual family or personal circumstances have affected your achievement in school, work experience, or your participation in school and community activities. DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR NAME.

3. Reference/Transcript Section>Counselor/Registrar Information: Submit the request AFTER January 25th so your transcript includes 1st Semester Grades. Request from your counselor. Request transcript from:

*Request Financial Information from your parent or guardian or use your own financial information if you are an emancipated student.
*Request a Personal Reference from a person of your choice.
**You must complete the application, Transcript Request and Recommendation Request in order to be considered for a scholarship. **
After your profile is complete, you will receive a list of scholarship opportunities. Click Apply to qualify for those scholarships.
Online Applications are due April 26, 2024 at midnight!
MHS Class of 2025 can begin creating accounts and building profiles. Build your profile by adding this year's activities, awards, and employment. Continue to keep your profile up-to-date and when you are a senior you will be able to apply for scholarships early!
